Wakarusa Valley Farm

Wakarusa Valley Farm is a 30 acre family owned farm located 7 miles southwest of Lawrence. We have been certified organic since 1989 and are committed to growing food in a sustainable manner. We grow over 30 different kinds of vegetables and more than a dozen kinds of mushrooms, which are grown year round. Since 1994 we have been participating at the Lawrence Farmers Market and that is the first year we started growing for a CSA. Over the years we have had many wonderful crews of people working here, some who have gone on to become farmers themselves. We feel blessed to be able to work and market with the farmers of Douglas County and to pass along and preserve the art of farming.
